If you are new to our weekly newsletters, here is some information about us. We have added all our past newsletters to our blog so if you want to you can read more about my irrational fear of roaches or how I lost my keys and found them in an unusual place.
How are you holding up this time of year?
Stress, overwhelm, money, malls, kids counting down the days until Christmas makes me feel like this.
As we were making pom-poms and talking through the challenges of yarn, she said, “You should always try something new and don’t give up! My mom says if you don’t try, you’ll miss things in life. If you give up, you will never know if you like it or not.”
So there you go. I don’t know how that fits into having to go to the mall. I already have tried that and don’t like it.
It does fit well into crafting. Learning a new skill like knitting or crochet means not giving up even when you make mistakes, so you know if you like it or not. It stinks to not be perfect at something right away. A lot of us don’t try because of that.
Learn something new next year, and don’t give up! Listen to the wise first grader. You got this!
Lily makes an excellent flyer for our classes each month. But for some reason, we thought that the last day of December means we don’t have to do anything else ever. So what I’m saying is we forgot.
For instance, if you come on Tuesdays for our Open Crafting time, you most likely will see Jax. He’s an avid knitter for a dog but mostly likes to lay on the big blanket.
