If you are new to our weekly newsletters, here is some information about us. We have added all our past newsletters to our blog so if you want to you can read more about my irrational fear of roaches or how I lost my keys and found them in an unusual place.
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!
Tony and I don’t typically celebrate this holiday. I’m not sure why. Tony always says that we show our love every day, so we don’t need to. I guess there’s some truth to that, in a gushy way that makes your kids say Ewww gross!
Our girls always ask us what we’re going to do on Valentine’s Day, and we both shrug and say probably nothing. So Lily made us a graphic:
Have a great day! And I hope you get bacon or chocolate. Oh… both…
Sorrel Sweater Knit Along
Look at this! We are excited about our first Knit Along. We have purchased some kits from Native Fibers, and she is busy dyeing them for us. If you buy a set here, we will give you the pattern for free. Or bring your yarn and purchase the pattern here if you want.
Either way, please come knit this with us starting March 4th from 4 to 6 pm.
What are we Working On?
Well, I’m making the Hinterland Sweater. This is my first sweater on fingering weight, my first larger colorwork project, and the first time I have dyed sweater quantity yarn and kept it for myself! <party>
Hope is working on her first sock with KnittinBro self-striping yarn in the Hogwarts Ravenclaw colorway. (Of course) Socks are way fun, try it out you might get addicted! (We just added a toe-up class as well if you want to learn a new technique!)
I found a casted on project with We Are Knitters yarn and needles on a table that I’m pretty sure is Lily’s, but I don’t know if it’s going to be anything.
Logan started a hat. Lily told her that we already had a sample hat in that yarn, so she can’t make another one. She’s a bit distraught.
|Our “Secret Society of Crafters” is growing! We have babies, and dogs and also people. It’s a fun time. Hang out with us on Tuesdays you will love this group!|
Hi Bunny! Hi!
Look at this cute bunny! Her name is Nila and she is a kit from Hoooked. Not only is she adorable, but she’s also so much bigger than we thought. The box is so small! Thank you to Amy, one of our sample crocheters for helping us out!
I need your Help!
I got my hair cut this week. I haven’t had bangs in a long time and I like them. My husband said I look like Gayle from Bob’s Burgers. So please give me your opinion. Yes? No?
